Affirmative action has it been interrupted in 2000’s, I will argue this point by showing you that it’s still need today. By keeping affirmative action in America, American citizens will be able to create equality and diversity throughout our country. If we, the American citizens, continue to use affirmative action in America, we will be able to remove the chains of oppression from women and minorities

How would you feel to find out that you were the most experience with a superior education candidate for the job but you did not get it? Today it’s known for a woman to make $55,000 a year while a white male with the same qualification make $100,000 a year in a workforce. Why is this unfair for women to make less them a white man, it’s because they’re not equal in the same view? White males have seen themselves superior over women and many minorities this still effective the workforce today.

How could a white male salary out weight equal qualified females in the same work place? It’s referred to as the "gender gap in earnings” in the United State and refers usually to the ratio of female to male median yearly earnings among full-time, year-round (FTYR) workers. I research and collect data found that in white women’s median weekly earnings were 77 percent those of white men. African-American women’s earning was 66 percent of the earning of white male and Latina women’s earnings were 55 percent of white men’s earning. African- American women with bachelor’s degrees make only $1,545 more per year than white male who have only completed high school. Have affirmative action’s outlived its usefulness in American society today? This bring up a question is affirmative action reverse discrimination? Why was affirmation action ever needed in the first place? I will show why we still need affirmation action in our society today. Affirmative action is still necessary in order to insure equality among white men, women, and minorities. By using affirmative action, that is race-neutral and gender-neutral assurance against discrimination

Now let us take a trip back in time with the Thirteen Amendments which abolished slave. The Fourteen Amendment granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States this also included freed slaves. In addition, it forbids states from denying any person "life, liberty or property, without due process of law" or to "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Then came the Jim Crow Law started between 1876 and 1965 which laws that effective way to abolish the Thirteen and Fourteen Amendment.
