Animal Farm Essay

In the book Animal Farm, George Orwell uses animals to symbolically represent humans and our creations of government and society. Orwell allegorically uses animals and their social groups to criticize Joseph Stalin's rise to power, the overall nature of mankind, and the many difficulties that we must all face. One of the animals, Napoleon best symbolizes negative behavior in the book.

Napoleon can only be ascribed to his blatant lust for power show similitudes of bad human behavior trough the book. The obsession and thirst for power lead Napoleon to become a powerful tyran taking advantage of the animals for his own good. He operates through cruelty and treachery when he bring the method of executions to have his dogs tear out throats this act of cruelty show similitudes with Joseph Stalin behavior. The only thing Napoleon care about is not if the animals are equal or dying but he seeks motivation in power and greed. Napoleon became in other words a human and not just any human but Joseph Stalin. Ultimately the negative behavior was the obsession with power which lead the farm and the animals into an atrocious place and turn Napoleon into a human but also into a tyran.

Firstly Napoleon helped to overthrow the humans that had been oppressing the animals,but soon becomes extremely corrupt and cruel with the animals who start to displease him. Napoleon adopt policies almost identical to those used by the humans they had fought against he start to act more human and having bad human behaviors with his own species. Napoleon became so corrupt that the animals can’t see the difference between Napoleon and any other bad human his most immense transformation into an actual human trough the book. His behavior change completely when he start walking, talking, thinking and eating like a human and even wearing hats. Napoleon behavior was like a tyran he was selfish towards the animals and unfair taking away the things that belong to them
