A Secret Lost In The Water is a short story written by Roch Carrier. This story has a very deep meaning to it in which a person may have to re-read it to understand. In the story a man states that "Nowadays father [mother/parents] can't pass anything to the next generation." This statement is completely true. It is quite obvious since that this world has changed drastically for the best and for the worst. Things will continue changing as more is discovered and others become much more advanced. This generation is much more modern than the generations previous.

As everyone is aware, some teens nowadays dislike their parents. It is quite easy to understand why because parents do tend to be overprotective but there is a reason behind it since in the media it has shown how terrible some teens are. Also parents can sometimes be not very understanding and the list can go on. However it is obvious that it is hard for parents to adapt to this modernized world that is changing everyday, this generation needs to know that because soon they'll have to deal with the same.

As everyone is aware, children are much more modern nowadays compared to their "old fashioned" parents. Their sense of style has changed tremendously. Most kids have completely different style than their parents. Parents like a more of a traditional look but this generation prefers a trendier look. Also technology has improved tremendously nowadays. Parents are completely unaware on all thee new electronics being created on a day to day basis. Technology has improved so much that it pretty much does all the work. Parents have no need to teach their kids a specific way to clean or cook because a gadget for that may have already been created. For example, there is absolutely no need to hand-wash clothes since washing machines do exist. Furthermore, this generation is also blessed with so many job opportunities. Parents nowadays haven't really gotten all the blessings
