One of a component is socio-cultural, that brings positive and negative impacts to the community and country. Ever since the development of tourism has grown too, it has raised awareness of different types of traditional culture in all parts of the world. Tourism allows cross-cultural exchanges between the hosts and guests, which gives them a better cultural understanding. Without tourism preserving, those traditional cultures, traditional festivals, it would have vanished. However, tourists had damaged those preserved structures and artifacts this could give the local residents a negative perception of tourist.

Tourism have opened up globally and attracted many tourists to many countries, this has generated high income for the host. However, in order to let tourism sustainable, the local must able to promote their local traditional foods, shopping or other activities to the tourists, by doing so, local must give tourist a 'warm welcome' or a pleasant experience. Because the tourists are spending money, they may want to be treated like 'king'.

Tourist behaviors can damage the quality of life of the hosting country. Nevertheless, communicating with tourists can lead to an erosion of traditional cultures, values and ethics this may cause an unpleasant experiences for both tourists and local. Tourist behaviors can damage the quality of life of the hosting country. Example, high volume of crowds and congestion, prostitution, drugs, alcohol and increasing of crimes may occur. Crimes, prostitution and drugs are inevitable in the local community. To prevent increasing of crimes, smuggling of drugs or human-trafficking (prostitution), it required the local community to participate as a whole and to against the bad.

Tourism may also breach on human rights, because the locals were being removed from their land, as this was to allow new hotels, houses and resorts to enter. E.g. Bail. This is to ensure that the country have enough accommodation for the incoming tourists.  

Tourism is an important sector of the economy especially when it can generate income for the country. Managers in the country must have a proper planning and measurement as it is to ensure that tourists will come back.
