1.0 Introduction

1.1 Background

In the modern society, the application of information system has become an important role in all kinds of field. Today's business organizations are describes as a changing entity that is largely driven by the implementation of modern information systems which becomes an necessary concern that can deliver valuable benefits (Adaieh 2009). Most of commercial activities cannot operate without information system. Now the function of information system is refers to business organization, business administration and decision making.

1.2 Aims

The purpose of this report is to provide some applications in the field of information system and indicate business problems appeared in changing new system. It focuses on the Arrow car sales and Hire to provide the function and business strategies by information system.

1.3 Scope

The report evaluates the application of information system, focusing on four key factors: business problems and ethical problems, business processes and strategies, features of new system and management of new system. The report will focus on the advantages of information system: better planning can control, aid decision making. In the meanwhile, the business strategies are also an indispensable part in business activities. When a new system established, the method of management is also an important problem. The report will address these issues as well.

2.0 Content

2.1 The problem of information system

Ms Atkins, who has recently purchased two more car yards and decided to integrate all 3 car yards into one complete operation and hope to keep profitability, So she wants to establish a new information system to govern all business. A new information system will have detrimental influence on Arrow Car Sales and Hire. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal (Wothen 2007) indicated that 87 precent of business leaders believe that information system is critical to their business strategic success. In the meanwhile, there are many advantages and disadvantages for Arrow Car Sales and Hire establishing a new system.

On the one hand, I will describe some advantages about new system. Firstly, an organization like as a system that includes inputs, processing and outputs (Adaieh 2009). By processing of inputs we add value to them and this value make the organization to finish its goals (Adaieh 2009). The new system can enhance the speed of operation and improve the business efficiency.
