Executive summery

Globalization has been bringing continuous challenges in management of international business. With the flow of time cultures are mixing up, workplace are replacing with multicultural environment. . Employees from different culture, family background, religion, age group may express their thoughts in different way. Sometimes what is consider is legal in some society may consider as illegal in another society. So whenever people come together in a workplace from various backgrounds they should be manage properly in order to propel them toward same goal. Awareness of diversity in management practice makes ease the organizations success and create better understanding among employees. Learning cross culture has become inevitable in today’s diverse workplace.

In this report we identify the importance of cross culture as well as diverse workforce. We gather ample of secondary data and analyze these by describing Geert Hofsteds’ cultural diversity. We also illustrated how General electronics as a global company faces this challenges. Hopefully this report would be a source of practical and theoretical information regarding cross cultural management.

In this global world we cannot deny the importance of managing diverse workplace insight the organization. Today employees are working in multicultural and diverse workplace. In management practice of an organization, demographic variable should be considered as a crucial part of management. Employees from different culture, family background, religion, age group may express their thoughts in different way. Sometimes what is consider is legal in some society may consider as illegal in another society. So whenever people come together in a workplace from various backgrounds they should be manage properly in order to propel them toward same goal.
