Facebook analysis report

Introduction

As an influential social networking website on a global scale, Facebook developed an effective organization management method. Since Facebook established the company in 2004, it has been through many disturbances. However, the company still maintained its particular service concepts that are focused on people. Facebook continually innovates and seeks cooperation to provide freer social networking services. In 2010, the independent Internet Protocol access of Facebook surpassed one hundred and thirty-four million times, which defeated Yahoo! and became the secondary biggest website in the United Stated (“By the numbers: 200+ A mazing Facebook statistics,” 2016). There are seven aspects in this research paper that includes internal factor, structure, external environment, management of change, culture, management of training, and leadership, to evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of Facebook management system.    

Internal factors

Vision. Facebook’s vision is sufficiently state their purpose of establishment. The vision can be conveyed to three aspects, which are to contact with friends and families, to explore what happened globally, and to share and show the significance in their lives (“Newsroom,” n.d.). It gave expression to Facebook’s eternal pursuit of reinforces the connection of people, especially with the people who were matter. In addition, the vision of Facebook is a crucial standard because it can specify the value of company and staff, enhance the employees’ work enthusiasm, and help the leaders to guide the behaviors of the employees. The chairmen of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, said that the clear vision of Facebook prompted all departments’ cohesion and was benefit to setting short-term objectives (Williams, 2016).

Mission. Facebook’s mainly purpose is “to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected” (“Newsroom,” n.d.). It reflected the company’s operation principle, which aimed at globalized information interaction platform as well as impacted operators’ decision orientation, and it explained the reason that why Facebook exists. A clear mission can provide foundation and criterion for allocating company’s resources, creating unified internal environment, and clarifying company’s development direction and core business (Drucker, 1986). Facebook used to be a good instance for consistently innovate based on immutably insist company mission. Furthermore, the company has to found mission before ensure strategies because mission can guide the direction of strategies.

Strategies. From only focusing on students to spreading to the whole world, Facebook’s operation strategies changed from community information exchange to making money for globalizational information interaction. The strategies convey 3 aspects, which are advertisement putting strategy, the company’s homepage setting strategy, and public homepage marketing strategy (Manarang.R, n.d.). The CEO of Facebook undisguisedly stated that they earned money in order to doing better services for customers (D'Onfro, 2016). The changes made the strategies more specific, and these changes were feasible, global, and long-term. Moreover, the strategies can enhance employees’ motivation.
