Company Background

DLX Premium Co. is a dog and cat food company that offers only the finest and natural ingredients united in a perfect balance for total nutrition. Here at DLX Premium Co., our mission is to help dogs and cats live long, happy, healthy lives and provide pet parents with the peace of mind that comes with feeding their dogs and cats with the best quality of ingredients at an affordable price. To ensure that we are providing the best to our customers, we work with animal nutritionists and veterinarians.  Unlike other brands, DLX Premium Co. does not cut corners. We do not use chicken or poultry by-products, corn wheat or soy proteins (gluten) or artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.  All our food is manufactured here in the U.S. at our local warehouse in Philadelphia and we just opened a new office in Wilmington, Delaware.  To show how much we care about the welfare of dogs and cats, we encourage all our employees to bring their dogs and cats to work every day. At the new office, there is even space allocated both indoors and outdoors for the dogs to run around and play with each other.  The cats prefer to stay tucked away under desks.  We are very proud to admit that over 50% of our employee’s dogs and cats were adopted via local shelters.

After conducting research for potential philanthropic organizations for our company to partner with, we found the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to be the best charity for us to work with. Because in addition to helping the charity, we will expand our consumer base, improve employee morale and company loyalty, and declare up to 10 percent of pretax profits.

ASPCA Background

The ASPCA was founded in 1866 and was the first humane organization established in America.  The ASPCA provides several programs including animal poison control, anti-cruelty, and shelter outreach. Its mission is to “provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States” (www.charitynavigator.org) .The ASPCA has a nationwide database of thousands of dogs and cats up for adoption in its local shelters.
