When my dad passed away 24 years ago, I was only 4 years old; my brother was eight, and my sister was barely 6 months old. Obviously my sister never knew my dad, never had the opportunity to spend time with him, and is never influenced by my dad. She was too young to even understand what was going on when my dad passed on. However, if my dad's friends were to meet her today, they will be able to attest to that strong trait my sister has that is just like my dad’s, which the rest of her brothers do not posses. This is the trait that attracted my mum to my dad. This is the trait that keeps our family together today.

Sharon is an attractive young woman who works for Asics as a senior product designer, a hot talent in her company. Looking at her, strangers can never tell that she came through humble beginnings. She grew up practically without a father, but was never short of confidence in herself. I wish to think maybe her brothers played a part. But on most parts, she was independent, self-driven and positive, and that carried her through. Even though she was a slow learner, she never let that hamper her self-believe. She went through the long and hard way, going through five years of secondary education, a 3-year ITE program before attaining her diploma with another 3 years. After her diploma, she acquired some agency experience, before being headhunted for Asics. Her life journey so far is a living and motivating testimony to many around her.

Sharon has the knack of getting things done her way. Maybe her life journey speaks well of her, so people respect her for that and just do it without question. Maybe it's her charm and charisma - I don't see guys rejecting to help her. In fact, I think guys are waiting for her to ask them for help! Of course there are times when things do not go her way.
