Whale Creation Story

Before humans walked the Earth even before the great stars in the sky where born there was a being. This being was a giant Great Whale. The whale was bright blue with a white underbelly. The Great Whale would float through nothingness. One day the whale grew tired of nothingness and through his spout he blew into creation the galaxies and the stars. This brought great beauty to his surroundings. The Great Whale was pleased with what he had created.

After many years of swimming through space the whale became very lonely and sad that he was the only one to admire the stars. The Great Whale then flew down to a green and blue colored planet. When the Great Whale landed he took a mountain of clay and molded it into many shapes. After he finished molding the clay into statues, he blew life into them. The statues started to move, and then the clay started to fall off of the statues. Underneath the clay were animals. Once free of the clay they noticed that the Great Whale was taking parts from the other animals and putting them into one big piece of clay.

Once the Great Whale had finished the clay statue, it looked like a tree with two trunks and only two downward facing branches. The Great Whale blew life into this statue. The clay started to fall off the statue and it revealed within the clay that fell from the tree humans. Since humans didn't have any knowledge, the Great Whale sang a song that would give knowledge to all those who heard it. After the Great Whale was done singing he noticed that he was considerably smaller than he was before, and that he could no longer fly. The humans noticing something was wrong with the Great Whale asked, "Great Whale, what ails you?" The Great Whale replied, "After creating the world and all the creatures you see I have used too much of my power, I cannot fly back to where I once was, and my knowledge is waning."
