The FDA is investigating teething tablets. The tablets have caused 10 known child deaths which are due to an overdose of belladonna in tablets. The situation was brought back Wed. the 19th of October 2016 when the FDA warned caregivers and parents to stay away from teething tablets that were not FDA approved. They recommend to only use Hylands as the tablets. This promotes the general welfare because the children's lives are at stake.The FDA is helping to secure our safety.

The CDC are looking into a disease that affects all of the american people. People are getting a foodborne illness hepatitis A, linked to frozen strawberries. The illness was first found in Virginia which was before August. Multiple victims said they had ordered smoothies with strawberries as an ingredient, ordered at tropical cafes in numerous states. The investigation is part of promoting the general welfare because the CDC is ensuring the health and safety of people with the disease and are trying to help fight the disease.

The CDC is investigating a superbug that infected many people in the US. People first began getting the bug in June 2016. In July, scientists found a part of e.coli that can’t be cured by the antibiotic in a patient. Scientists have thought that travelers can become colonized and can spread the virus. Also, people with E. coli have been found to carry the superbug. The CDC is further investigating. This promotes the general welfare because the bug affects US citizens health, so the the people's health and safety by finding information about the bug and how to cure it.
