New Hardware Acquisition Milestones

JDM Concept Designs in its progress to acquire new hardware will adhere to a schedule of milestone checks for the progress of the project. The milestones will be dispersed throughout the schedule in intervals that would allow an adequate review and assessment.

Milestone #1- May 21, 2012 - Meet with System Software Designers- The first milestone within our project will allow the team to meet with the designers of the new software system. This meeting will allow for the designers to let the team know if the hardware options are the correct ones for the software.

Milestone #2-May 29, 2012 – Meet with the finance department at JDM Concept Designs. This meeting will allow the team to present the prices of the hardware slated to be purchase. The milestone is in a place that will allow for a better compellation of the budget. Having this type of meeting is crucial to the project since it is our goal to remain within budget at all times possible.

Milestone #3-June 13, 2012 – The final milestone scheduled for the project will to review the set up of the new hardware and how it is working with the software. Having the milestone set up prior to final integration of the project will allow for any changes that need to be made before presenting the final project.

The milestones set up within a project are crucial for the project for the milestones will allow us to be certain that the project is on the right track. The budgetary concerns of the project can also be held in check with a review and adjustment during the milestones.

Risk Mitigation Strategies

JDM will have a risk mitigation plan set in place to analyze the possible risks associated with the project. The team will develop a plan of action to help counteract any possible risks. The plan will assess the risk of having to replace all of the computer
