The whistleblowing is a multifaceted phenomenon which happens when an individual raise a fear of prohibited action, danger or any immoral deed inside an organization and it occur with a bigger rate. Whistleblowing encircles potentially vibrant evidences about security dangers, probable deception, damage to children or defenseless adults, spying for someone and many more. (Jessica R. Mesmer-Magnus, 2005) The whistleblowing is the most operative way utilized for constantly observing individuals and to certify the administrators follow trials. It is very important for an organization to search and address to the whistleblower before any major harm is done. (Karen L)

The whistleblowers have numerous characteristics such as they are often well educated and are on high professional positions in organizations. They are often the most useful persons of the organizations. They do not depend on instructions of other rather they have their own principles and approaches to guide them. The whistleblowers are always altruistically encouraged and unconcerned in changing their behavior. They are always calm, sound and observe every activity that is happening in the organization. They have ability to overcome uncertainty with help of exhibitionism in order to discharge information. They are usually serious, dedicated and passionate about a particular belief. Most importantly they are robust willed. They are always inflexibly dedicated to their commitment and are even eager to go contrary to the social conventions. They have a clear mindset.         Edward Snowden is the recent case of whistleblower who was involved in high profile classified surveillance revelations of the United States behind the NSA (National Security Agency). Snowden at a young age of 29 is involved in the most critical leaks in the antiquity of United States political history. He was technical associate of the Central Intelligence Agency and currently an asylum resident in Russia. He has worked for the National Security Agency for almost 4 years as an employee at different positions with various contractors including Dell. When Snowden decided to reveal certain high profile secret material and evidences of United States to the public, he was firm belief not to elect the safeguard of unrecognizability. He disclosed the entire information with credit to his name and he himself said many times that “I have no purpose of hiding that I am because I know I have done nothing wrong.” Even he publically disclosed entire information but he asserted not to face media. Without the fear of consequences Snowden disclosed information and did not divert his attention from what the United States government was doing. For the people he gave away his luxurious life because he had a pay of almost $200,000 and girlfriend whom he loved so much. He added that “I am sacrificing my luxurious life because I cannot see United States government to abolish the secrecy, internet freedom and basic rights for people across the world with enormous surveillance.” After acquiring the last set of information that he wanted to disclose, he asked the supervisor of National Security Agency that he want to take vacation for a couple of weeks to cure his epilepsy disease. He then flied to Hong Kong.
