William Shakespeare is one of the best play writers of his time both his childhood and his career set him apart from other writers in that time period. One of the things that is over looked is his child hood his education gave him the upper hand on his competition. Also not many people look to in depth into his career they just think that he wrote plays and published them, but what his job was and how he started helped him become one of the greatest writers of that time.(Wells, Stanley. "Shakespeare, William (1564-1616)." Poets: American and British. Ed. Ian Scott-Kilvert. Vol. 3. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1998. 1245-1288. Gale Virtual Reference Library. Web. 9 Mar. 2015.)

Little is known about William Shakespeare's childhood but there is some information that we have or can infer. William went to the stratford grammar school and studied/ learned there he had to stop attending school at age 13 to help his father. "His literary work shows the mark of the excellent if grueling education offered at the Stratford grammar school"(Christenbury, Leila. "Shakespeare, William (1564-1616)." Writers for Young Adults. Ed. Ted Hipple. Vol. 3. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1997. 155-172. Gale Virtual Reference Library. Web. 9 Mar. 2015.) He studied latin grammar in the early years of his education but then as time went on he moved to study logic, rhetoric, composition, versification, and the monuments of roman literature. By age 18 he helped his father by marring a stratford girl named ann hathaway.(Wells, Stanley. "Shakespeare, William (1564-1616)." Poets: American and British. Ed. Ian Scott-Kilvert. Vol. 3.
