Young people nowadays do not give enough time to helping their communities.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

When it comes to young people's duty to society, it is believed that helping communities plays an important role in the formative of their lives. Particularly, some people even point out the interests of individual should be concerned with the well-being of communities. However, I cling to a belief that young people nowadays do not spend sufficient time on doing community service.

To begin with, overwhelmed by the mountain pressure from hard study, students of modern days find themselves in an awkward position of having no spare time and energy to do some volunteer works to help with communities due to peer pressure and high expectation from their parents. It is common to see that they dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to academic books and assignment papers. I can think of no better illustration than the example of my cousin, who is in Grade 8 now. He always complains about the tremendous homework he is assigned every night and the extra classes he has to attend during the weekends. With such insurmountable stress, how can a youth still consider helping his/her community. As a result, it is obvious that teenagers have no time helping communities because completing those learning tasks will cost a lot of time.

As our society keeps developing at a galloping pace, the advent of the technologically advanced society divert people, including young adults' attention to the attractive recreational activities such as watching TV and playing computer games. Since there is less and less communication between young people and the community, they won't be conscious of helping their neighbors,
