Culture Shock

A

Mary Frances Clark

Nashville, Tennessee

She talked about the civil war, and what happened in that time. Nashville, Tennessee had fought in order to keep their slaves and the big plantation owners depended on their slaves for slave labor. That was an issue back in the days, but they did not make it to the end. Hopefully.

The issues she talks about, is the money problem. Nashville, Tennessee does not get much money. They get their money from the country money. Not because they only play it, but also because there are many tourists. "Nashville has about 500.000 people and it's the home of country music. Country music is where Nashville gets a lot of its money. "

B – Big plantation owner's depended on their slaves for slave labor. BUT. If they back to life and thought that the whole "routine" is the same, he will live a hard and confused life. He depended on the slaves that he had, they did all the work. He cannot do it by himself now because he has not learned the full struggle of keeping a plantation healthy and strong. That is what I call a Culture Shock because the culture has changed during the civil war.

Vanessa Perez

New York, N.Y.

I think that the main issue at Vanessa's point of view is the many "immigrants" if I can say so. She has not seen many Caucasian people from the state. Until she came to New York.

Her environment is not as good as the USA want it to be. Her circle of friends is most likely criminals. some of them have killed people and others are in gangs and sell drugs (drug dealers or pushers). She mentioned that you are safe in the village because all the stores are open and everyone is out.
