A perfect blend of hope, pride, prosperity, and the impossible. That is what the American dream was for many people across the country and world. The American Dream will always be remembered for helping others achieve the unexpected. It gave people a sense of hope that they wouldn't have had otherwise. It helped individuals dream and reach for the stars. When talking about the American Dream James Truslow Adams once said, "Life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement". The American Dream was a dream or desire about wanting social stability. It was a dream in which everyone was able to achieve what they want, despite the obstacles blocking them, such as race, class, or ethnicity. Since America is known as the land of the brave, the American dream was usually associated with freedom, prosperity, opportunity, equality, and most importantly happiness. The American Dream was more of a concept rather than just a dream. Everyone has different American Dream's but the thing that is always similar is this idea of the opportunity to live a better life. The key detail that many seem to overlook about the American Dream is that nothing comes without hard work. You couldn't just expect America to give you a better life, you had to work hard and then only will this country be able to help you. The American Dream has become this phenomenon that no will ever forget. Even though we mourn it's lose today, it's memories and the stories of the people that it has helped will survive forever. Everyone has strived to achieve the American Dream, but in reality it is not possible. Something that made the American Dream so unique was that only a few can achieve it, but the few people that have achieved it are reaped with it's rewards. The American Dream was a chance for people to start over and for people to achieve the unexpected.
