Wages and Wages Earned Data Set

In this research paper, Learning Team C will define the purpose of the research. In doing the research, the team will describe the research problem(s) that were gathered based on the data sets. However, the team will also determine the importance of the research problem. The team will also define the problem by, explaining the questions that the research is answering. The research hypothesis will be broken down to explain three possible outcomes of the research. In addition, the research will define the level of measurement for each variable. Lastly, the team will define the measurement scale for each variable.

The Purpose of this research was to figure out which working category brings more money home, we made several attempts before we could actually figure out who made the money. The research included a wide range of information such as industries, occupations, years of education, southern resident, nonwhite, Hispanic, female, age in years, and union member. The team considers the research to be important because it helps them identify which occupation, race and or age that receives the higher amount in dollars.

The team did discover that the individuals who receive the highest amount in dollars were not a part of a union and were in another industry other than manufacturing and construction. Although the individual were not a part of a union, they were married which could be a symbol of stability. In many cases the individuals who show that he or she has a stable relationship or family, normally tries to show stability in the workforce as well so that one can support their family. With majority of the highest paid being males, we can also assume that they are head of household in many homes.

Trying to find out who makes more money in a particular Industry is hard to accomplish. Using the data sets available, the team tries to determine the answer to that
