Metropark Hotel Wan Chai Hong Kong Case Study

In this assignment, I am responded to collect the data between 23 March 2015 and 29 March 2015 and analysis of the internal and external environment of hotel. This is my first time to collect data for a long time which is from 10 March 2015 to 29 March 2015. Although I had wanted to give up collect data, I still kept collecting data because this is my responsibility. Therefore, this process enhances my patience and responsibility.

Also, when I conduct the part of internal and external environment of the hotel, the relationship between my classmate and I is improve because we need a high cooperation. Moreover, this part could increase my analysis skill. My classmate and I need to though the internal and external environment to analysis the hotel. To do a great analysis, I must find out some useful research. Therefore, I need to research the hotel information and attention on the hotel industry for analysis. As a result, this assignment is very useful for me to improve my personality and my analysis skill.

Strengths

Metropark Hotel Wan Chai Hong Kong is located Wan Chai which in city center. It is next to the business area, such as Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre and International Finance Centre(IFC), Cultural and Architectural Heritage, such as Hung Shing Temple and Old Wan Chai Post Office, Leisure place, such as Ocean Park and Happy Valley Racecourse, as well as shopping center, such as Pacific Place Shopping Mall, Time Square Shopping Mall and SOGO Shopping Mall. These places are satisfied the needs of different type of traveler. Also, the Hotel is near the MTR station of Wan Chai, it is convenient all guests to travel other area in Hong Kong.  

Besides, Metropark Hotel Wan Chai Hong Kong got two hotel awards. One is the Certificate of Excellence Award from TripAdvisor in 2013. The other one is the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence(HKAEE) Award - Wastewise Label – Class of Good in 2013 to 2014. With regard to those awards, the Hotel is getting stronger and stronger in recent years. Also, the Hotel got the approved award, HKAEE Award, which mean it is a green hotel and contributes in social responsibility to enhance its brand.

The 16-storeyed Metropark Hotel Wan Chai Hong Kong provides 173 different types of rooms, including a whole layer of 11 rooms for ladies, SHE BY METROPARK. This room type designed by the female guests, every room used difference colour and theme. Also, the room satisfy the ladies’ needs which providing plush bedding, beauty accessories, bath amenities by Borghese Giardino Collection, and an exclusive hotline for ladies-only floor. This room type suit for the female guests who travel frequently, and the response is quite good.
