That is to say, over the span of more than 10 years, Swartz’s innovative leadership was present and filled gaps that other employees would have otherwise addressed. What is the negative impact of having a central voice of social development in an organization such as Timberland? What is lost when a single leader is present?

  • Dominate all CSR activities – most of activity happen from partnership when he participate in affair
  • Integrate CSR into culture as Path of Service team-good idea

  • Agree fulfill most of gaps but not all!!!

  • In my company- using the concept of one family
  • The key – when new employee can tell senior operators with unsafety behavior or shortcut because we are family the most important everyone comes to work and back home safely
  • Or we always have time to do it right (no rush)
  • Even if Swartz has a code of conduct  no concrete audit addressing in the case/ my company use integrate of auditing to recognize the good behavior but actually the purpose is to observe an unsafe behavior! I believe that there will be more initiatives that could be practical with the firm in operation areas and so on.  I call that voice of operators and of process we should let operators working in the areas—can participate to integrate the ideas!!

  • If his idea is wrong, what will happen with timberland?
  • The significant weakness of single leader is that lack of holistic view of business and value it would be better to have more views and then consensus to have the agreement of strategy!!!
