In this article we will profile a company and discuss about its employee benefits plans. Company benefits plans are just as important for employers as it is for employees. We will discuss about Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporations, a major technology service and consulting company and its benefit plans.

Company Profile

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. (NASDAQ: CTSH) is an IT Service provider founded in 1994 and headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey. The major services it provides is Business Consulting, Application Services which include IT design, development, integration and maintenance solutions, IT Infrastructure Services and Business Process Outsourcing services. Initially it was an IT Development and Service arm of Dun & Bradstreet Corporation but was spun off as an independent company in 1996. It is listed in FORTUNE 500, S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 listings. It was a part of the Business Week 50 top performing US companies list in 2010 and for the 8th consecutive time in the FORTUNE 100 Fastest Growing Companies list in 2010. About 70% of its clientele is situated in North America, with the rest 30 % in Europe and Asia Pacific region. Most of its revenue is generated from its clients in the Banking and Financial Services, Healthcare and Manufacturing & Retail sector. In the US, its delivery centers are located in Massachusetts, Illinois and Phoenix. Most of its offshore delivery centers are located in India along with 70% of the company’s workforce.
