As a social worker I really am against Death Penalty, due to the cruelness this practice involves. It is ironic how Death Penalty can be considered a way to punish a criminal, but the method is killing the person. No one has the right to take away another person's life, even though the person might deserve it, in our judgment. It is a social construction whether it is correct to apply such punishment, and in my opinion, it is just an easy way out. Instead of solving criminality with more criminality, the criminal should pay in life what he did in life; it's a bigger punishment than dying.
Como trabajadora social estoy verdaderamente en contra de la pena de muerte, debido a la crueldad que tal práctica evoca. Es irónico como la Pena de Muerte es el castigo por cometer un crimen, sin embargo, el método es matarlo. Nadie tiene el derecho de tomar la vida de nadie, aun cuando en su juicio la persona se lo merezca, lo considero una salida fácil. En lugar de resolver el problema de criminalidad con mas criminalidad, el criminal debe pagar por lo que hizo en vida, este es peor castigo que morir.
