Executive summary

Electronic commerce (E-commerce) is the wide range of online business by using electronic communications and digital system processing business transaction data, transform, and recreate relationships between organizations and individuals. Because of the benefits of the E-Commerce technology, many companies promote, advertise, and sell their products or services through online.

In this project, we have explained about how AirAsia uses the internet technology for its operational and strategic management. To meet the customer's needs, wants, comfort and safety of the customer, the company ensures that their staffs are well trained, friendly, cooperative, sincere and professional. This well help serve the customer better while providing customers safe and enjoyable trips to many destinations around the world.

Based on this project, we will analyze how Airasia gain value proposition from the targeted market. We will classify how Airasia's Business Model work and the company's objectives for establishing their E-commerce business. This project will also show how Airasia skim revenue layer by layer from their Ecommerce business through selling air tickets via online and pursuing some affiliated marketing by using their website. Then, we will go over the security part of Airasia website concerns of technology solutions and security for their customer's confidential information.Next; we will present the payment options and steps before we go into the website layout and designs. Last but not least, we do some recommendations from our business. In order to explain in detail, we will compare Airasia with Tiger Airline and point out certain features and difference that they need to amend as to emerge as the winner in the ecommerce market.
