In the 15th century, Europeans began to embark on voyages to discover the world to expansion of their lands. European had been fallen in fantastic land, it written by the author of “The Travels of John Mandeville”. They thought other lands were more frightening and filled by precious stone and gold. As by economic motives, in that time, Muslim control of Central Asia cut Europe off from the countries, so European expansion in the renaissance, to find better place to trades, and grow their economy, it were actually more direct access to the spices of the East. There also one of reason called “religious Zeal”. This statement expresses another major reason for the overseas voyages. At the 15th century, Prince Henry bought 15 of voyages to navigate of Portugal to increased great desire to make increase in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was also expansion of Europe to connect to the growth of centralized monarchies during the Renaissance. Their expansion was state enterprise and European monarchies had increased of their authority and resources, it was helpful to turn their energies beyond. Europeans also already achieved a level of wealth and technology than other countries, and the technology helped to make a regular series of voyages beyond Europe. The “Portolani”, it was highly schematic and symbolic medieval maps were used by sailors between 13th and 14th centuries, it drawn on a flat scale and took no account of the curvature of the earth and it was very useful, But by the end of the 15th century, cartography had developed the map more fairly accurate. By this “portolani” Columbus and other adventures to believe that it would be feasible to sail west from Europe to reach Asia. European wanted to trade and grow their wealth to discover new land or find new country that they could invade to make them as their colonies, so they had to develop the maps and voyages at 15th century.
