Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
There is no other period in world history when formal education has been making its greatest impact upon the social status of humankind than it is today. Without at least a college certificate, it will be hard, almost impossible, to get a permanent job. Every semester, it has been observed that a lot of students are not able to retain the maintaining grade of at least 85 at La Verdad Christian College Caloocan. There is a significant link between students and their interaction with the teacher, which greatly influences their academic standing. Since the elementary years, teachers have become the students’ second parents, and it has been proven that the bond between this relationship is a stronghold for an effective way of learning. Because of this, the researchers desire to have a deeper and a clearer understanding of this relationship. The researchers also desire to find a better way to improve the academic performance of students by improving their relationship with the teachers. The researchers got very much interested on how teachers affect the grades of La Verdad Christian College students, and so they conducted this research.
Effective teaching begins with effective teacher preparation. In teacher preparation programs, states should focus their efforts on ensuring that graduates have strong content expertise and are equipped to use research-based instructional strategies. By integrating strategies into their current classroom practice, teachers can help students deepen their understanding and strengthen their proficiency. Some students seem naturally enthusiastic about learning, but many need-or expect-their instructors to inspire, challenge, and stimulate them. Unfortunately, there is no single magical formula for motivating students.
