In recent years, lottery industry has been flourishing in Hong Kong, especially after the regulated football betting services launched since 1 August 2003. Many people have become pathological gamblers, and problems caused by gambling spread out seriously. These have distressed and harassed many families as one gambler can make the whole family suffer. Therefore, we produce this video by showing how gambling will influence a family, so as to remind people not to addict in gambling, and state out solution to recovery from gambling.

We have used several rules of image construction to present our idea, they include angle, distance, depth of field and lighting. For angle, high angle shots are used to make the gambler seems villainous and depraved in the video. For example, the scene that focus on the actress when she squat outside the betting branch of the Hong Kong Jockey Club to write the ticket for placing bets. For distance, the video use close-up to signify the emotional moment, like the frame that show the argument of the family. Besides, we have also used extreme long shot to signify the emotional detachment of the ferry, and then moving it in to a close-up to create an emotional distance to the audience. For depth of field, most of the shots are using selective focus to signify the gambler in this video, but the family photo has used soft focus to signify the nostalgia and warm of the family. For lighting, low key signifies somber mood, so we use this lighting to show sadness when gambler's husband and daughter were leaving her. However, at the end of the video, the gambler decides to give up gambling, so we change the low key lighting to high key lighting in order to signify optimism of the family.

We choose video to present the idea is because video can combine images together, and bring out the problem of gambling effectively. Image is indeed powerful as it can easier to attract people's attention about the influence of gambling than
