Stakeholders

The stakeholders in this scenario are the patients, providers, trustees, board committee members and the director of nursing. There are many stakeholders involved when important decisions are being made. Getting $1.7 million piece of equipment is a very big decision for anyone to make. It has become crucial for decision makers in the health care field to understand that they affect the decision and actions they make. The stakeholders have the power to influence the outcome of decisions. Making a decision to acquire a surgical robot, is a big decision for the stakeholders to make.

There are internal and external stakeholders that play a part in deciding whether to acquire the surgical robot. The internal stakeholders participate in funding, resourcing and the coordination of the strategy for planning major projects and acquiring pricey equipment. Internal stakeholders include the director of public health, public health management analyst and research scientist. They are also involved in working with the local health and the wellbeing of all people in the community. The external stakeholders contribute their views and experience to address the issues that are going on. These are the issues that are important to them as patients. External stakeholders include providers, patient, funders and local authority.

There are many stakeholders that are asking if there is a need for the surgical robot. They need to have proof the DaVinci is worth buying. They have to see all the evidence that supports them making a big purchase. With everything, there are pros and cons. Stakeholders play a major role in how a business operates and where the money goes.

Impact of Stakeholders on Acquiring the DaVinci Robot

Both types of stakeholders are important in the decision making process. The stakeholder’s perspective on a project needs to be accounted for to make the project a success. Stakeholders can have a positive or negative view concerning a particular project. It is important to understand the stakeholders as individuals and they act differently in different situations. You have to also remember that the most important stakeholder in the health care system is the patient. Without patients, there would be no health care system.

The stakeholders have the ability to impact acquiring the Da Vinci because their relationship with the organization and the issue of acquiring the robot. There are some stakeholders that may have more influence than others over the project. They also have be interested in acquiring the Da Vinci. It is important that all the vital viewpoints are understood.

There are some stakeholders that have more influence than others. All the stakeholders have the most power will have the most influence of the decision to acquire the Da Vinci. There are primary and secondary stakeholders.
