College Case

I have a strong interest and curiosity about jobs that deal with environmental advocacy. This has led me to pursue a career as a marketing specialist for environmental companies. My interest started when I went on a wilderness trip outside of Philadelphia. I came to the realization that there are so many beautiful places out there that I have never visited. Without the environmental groups protecting the beautiful environment, it will soon disappear. Life is short, and I want to make a positive impact in protecting and conserving the environment for future generations, so that they can enjoy the aesthetic beauty nature.

My academic weakness is that I have a short term memory. If I listened to a lecture and don’t take notes, I will forget everything the next day. To improve my weakness, for every classes, I plan to write everything down so I can retain the notes to myself. Also in college, I will be able to use a laptop to take notes and record the lecture, that will greatly improve my note-taking skills. Because I can easily access my notes all the time online and review and study for it, that way I don’t have to carry heavy notebooks.

During the summer wilderness trips, I came to the realization that there are so many beautiful places out there that I have never visited. I think environmental organizations such as Emerald Necklace Conservancy is in need of help, because not many people notice the negative impacts they had on the environment around them and most people does not like labor work, therefore the environmental field work is getting fewer passionate people to work and many people wanted to quit the job.
