With its beautiful culture, people, views, delicious food, romantic language, and of course Paris , France is the favorite place of many incredibly important people from all around the world. Being the largest nation Western Europe, France is approximately 211,000 square miles. It is 80% the size of Texas and slightly less than twice the size of Colorado. France’s climate includes cool winters and mild summers, along with mild winters and hot summers by the Mediterranean. Its borders are Spain in the south, Italy and Switzerland in the east, and Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium in the north east. France is the home of a part of the Alps, starting south of the Jura Mountains and stretching 350 km, covering 33,000 km of land, from Lake Geneva to Nice.

France consists of multi-ration and cultural blend of Celtic and Latin backgrounds. French people are known to be educated, proper, and sometimes serious. There is a saying an American man once told me after living in Paris for a few years, he said ,” Parisian people don’t like anyone, and sometimes they don’t even like themselves.” I understand that people in Paris are different to people from the rest of France, however it is a good example of the misinterpreted attitude of the French. Many people, especially Americans, interpret the French’s serious attitude as rude. They usually do not smile unless they mean it, so if they are talking to a complete stranger (tourist) they are most likely not to smile, however this does not mean they are being rude, to them it is a form of respect.
