Steve is innocent. Although “Mr. Evans aka Bobo” said that Steve was the look out for the robbery, he could've been lying for himself because he needed a brake. But what I thing was dumb of Petrocelli was that she brings only criminals as witnesses and one lady(Miss Henry) that claim that she see King in the store. If Steve was the look out wouldn’t he see a lady walking around the store looking for medicine for her granddaughter. I also doubt that she could see properly but somehow she pointed out that she saw King in the store out of every other people picture that Petrocelli showed her. As I said I think Steve is innocent because they don’t have any proof that he was involved or was even at the store.

At first when the trial started Steve didn’t believe that they could win the case because Petrocelli already gave him a harsh name “Monster”. He didn’t know why she called him that but I did. “ She called him that because she think he was included in the robbery that take place when a man ( Mr. Nesbitt ) was killed and she think that’s a cruel thing to do.”

By her calling him that name he lost confidence in the trail but O’Brien said “ You have to believe in yourself, if we’re going to convince the jury that you’re innocent.” As a young guy Steve always wanted to be like James King but seeing the situation that he’s in right now, he changed his mind about being this cruel and not even caring about what he would do to anyone.

Depends on how Steve presents himself to jury it could affect his trial because he’s a under age kid and he’s black. However Bobo stated that Steve was suppose to give a signal but instead he just walked out the store without doing nothing so that means he didn’t go through with it. When Bobo claim that him and king laid low for a while and they had the money, Steve wasn’t with them and they never gave him any of the money so he wasn’t included in anything that went down
