Types of Media

When it comes to the area of media, there are different types that can be used to effectively train new and current employees. Desktop and laptop computers can simulate driving activities before the driver is put into an expensive limo. This not only allows the driver to become familiar with the vehicle, but also the main routes used by customers and the occasional side streets. Training on these devices can also cover state and local driving laws and current safety procedures. A test can be given at the end of the module to assess knowledge and comprehension of these key items. A good company should also train their limo drivers on customer service. This can be done through a certification program offered by Landslide Limousines which could potentially save money or online through an outside agency. Good customer service stems from the goals and objectives of the company to be a leader in first class transportation. Customer expectations can be met at a higher level and a general rapport established from the beginning and throughout the companies lifespan.

Learning Principles

Principles should be established so that Landslide Limousine can effectively promote efficient learning. These principles are based on the skills that the company requires the limo drivers to possess. These skills include driving limos and navigating the roads along with understanding and knowing the driving laws and safety procedures. Learning principles should also be founded on acquiring high levels of customer service skills. Skill and fact learning require four basic ingredients of, “Goal setting, behavior modeling, practice, and feedback.” (Cascio, 2013, p. 321). This concept can also include meaningfulness of material in place of behavior modeling.
