The above-mentioned company is established in India by Foxconn Ltd., which is a Taiwanese multinational electronic contract manufacturing company.         (Note: In the following case study, in various instances Rising Star Mobiles India Pvt. Ltd. has been referred by the name of its holding company Foxconn, for sake of brevity.)

Recently, in May 2015, Foxconn started its smart phone assembly plant in a 40,000 square-foot facility at Sri City industrial park in Andhra Pradesh. At present, companies such as Xiaomi, Gionee, Micromax, Lava have opted for Foxconn to manufacture their ‘Made In India’ smartphones at the Sri City plant.
