Most people in the world can’t say that they have a very unique name that no one has. A lot of baby names are very common and repetitive, I thought I had a one of kind name that is until I did my research. Dontasia is a very uncommon name among the United States, however, in 2011, 7 girls were given the name in the United States. Recently the name has been very common in the United Kingdom, in fact the name wasn’t used in the United Kingdom until 2013, when three girls were named Dontasia in that same year. The name started out as a name for baby girls but eventually evolved into becoming a name for males too, making it a little more common now as time passes. As uncommon as the name is, people would think it has very little meaning but it actually has a lot of meaning behind it.

The name Dontasia means that one is strong in material matters, determined and stubborn. One who has good business ability, and is a good worker, steady and practical, and also a builder who takes responsibility well. These qualities may bring her a position of authority and power. A doer, down-to-earth, serious-minded, reliable, and self-disciplined; has good power of concentration. Dontasia is methodical and a believer in law, system and order. Always looking for an opportunity to achieve financial and emotional security.

Basically a peace maker, she understands the law of harmony and the desire to balance her life with those around her. Without someone to share her love, ideals, wealth, or work she may feel incomplete. Dontasia can be very sensitive and appear a little shy and perceptive. She has developed intuition, patience, and the ability to nurture others. Dontasia can achieve a state of happiness if she is willing to accept her needs in a complimentary relationship and go to create them. I feel that the meaning of my name describes me perfectly, although I thought my name had no meaning at all, it was very interesting to see all the interesting things there
