　　My own basic scope on the history of man is that to place central importance on the great conflict that is always externally waged between liberty and power this manifested itself during the American revolutionaries of the 18th century But liberty has always come under threat precipitated by encroachment of power,tax,control and exploitation of the fruits of liberty and production.A closer look at the surface of our social order we can see the great redistribution of power between the two opposing sides the society and the state on the other hand. The state power is derived from the society itself. The power conferred to the state whether through a gift or seizure leaves the society with less power,

　　Albert Jay Nock was a very influential was a very influential liberteranian and also a social critic who perceived himself as a “Philosopher Anarchist”. He advocated for a more radical vision of a society that would be free from the influence and exploitation of the political state. His perception of humankind was one that has two basic methods of survival: what he called the social power and what he referred to as the State power. In his classical book entitled :OUR ENEMY THE STATE”, he defined Social power as how we normally live and freely relate and trade with one another without coercion while as he saw State power as the use of aggression, whether directly and indirectly through government, to satisfy our needs which he called the political means.

　　As he wrote “there are two methods, or means, and only two, whereby man’s needs and desires can be satisfied. One is the production and exchange of wealth; this is the economic means. The other is the uncompensated appropriation of wealth produced by others; this is the political means The State, then, whether primitive, feudal, or merchant, is the organization of the political means.”

　　Since the state has no money on its own it relies on the society in order to do its work. It must result to taxation,price fixing and inflation All arms of government no matter the complexity can be run under one head. This in turn facilitate in the increase of state power thus decreasing social power.In his book Nock described the state as that which “Claims and exercise monopoly of crime”. He was against this centralization,regulation,income tax and mandatory education.
