1. The effects of America international economic and political isolationism in the 1920s were America's international economic and political isolationism eventually led to the Great Depression because America wasn't trading with other countries. This created the economy to decrease because America couldn't survive just with self production. After WWI, they didn't want to associate themselves with any more foreign countries because they didn't want to be a part of the packs that were forming in the WWI to make them join the war so they isolated themselves. As an effect, with the industrial revolution and many other technological booms the United States was behind on what was currently happening in the world. Onto the WWII, the isolation made it harder for the United States to fight in combat because they were so behind on weaponry and didn't want to take part so they didn't join the war until halfway through which caused many more lives to be lost than what could have been prevented.

2. Although the 1920s appeared on the surface to be a prosperous time, income was unevenly distributed. The wealthy made large profits, but more and more Americans spent more than they earned, and farmers faced low prices and heavy debt. The lingering effects of World War I caused economic problems in many countries, as Europe struggled to pay war debts and reparations. These problems contributed to the crisis that began the Great Depression.

3. After the Great Depression, millions of Americans were lost without jobs. Franklin D. Roosevelt introduced programs between 1933 and 1938, designed to help America pull out of the Great Depression by addressing high rates of unemployment and poverty. An array of services, regulations, and subsidies were introduced by FDR and Congress, including widespread work creation programs. The cornerstones of the New Deal were the Public Works Administration and the National Recovery Administration.
